The 2nd Annual TRASHCAN ART CONTEST FOR CHILDREN
March 26-May 19.
The theme for this year is “ECO ANIMAL RESCUE”. The winning pieces will be featured on trashcans in Richland Parks for a year. We encourage children research enganderous animals and reflect their thoughts through arts. We accept any medium. All submissions must be on 8.5 x 14 paper (paper must be “landscape” orientation only).

Deadline for the art entry: May 19.
Eco Animal Rescue Kick-off Event Day: April 19, 10-12am, Richland Public Library
Eco Animal Rescue begins at 10 o'clock with stories of endangered and threatened animals followed by a live demonstration from the Blue Mountain Wildlife Organization with their beautiful birds.
Then the Richland Arts commission will assist the children in creating their own work of art on the subject of endangered or threatened animals to be entered in the Trash Can art contest.
All children through the age of 18 and families are welcome.
This event is organized by Richland Arts Commission and is sponsored by Richland Public Library and Blue Mountain Wildlife Organization.
